OBLITERATION "Nekropsalms" 2009 NORWAY released on FYSISK FORMAT

The abnormally credible lable of the TIGER record shop in Oslo release this 2nd full length from the new heroes of KOLBOTN, Norway, and what can i say -
in 1989-1991 we worked on our two first albums (really "SOULSIDE JOURNEY" and "GOATLORD"), we worked and worked like crazy with rehearsals and songwriting, to create two fantastic epic dark death metal albums.

Well, Obliteration SUCCEEDED in what we in darkthrone tried to do on our two first albums - they have here delivered a brand new old organic sounding death metal masterpiece, but it isn't only death, as these fantastic musicians like ALL the right bands from when they were born and BEYOND, from the 60s 'till 90's crust and 80s thrash and even a touch of sludge (remember DREAM DEATH?) and black - I present you the norwegian album of the year - easily. People are going nuts all over the underground scene to NEKROPSALMS!!

The second installment in Blood Command's ambitious 10"-trilogy is delayed. It was supposed to come out next monday, but it's not going to be here until November 23rd. The songs are out digitally though and a couple of tracks can be heard on Blood Command's myspace

After 10 releases Fysisk Format has finally made an impression on the Norwegian Goverment's Culture Council! They are investing in 580 copies of Le Corbeau - Evening Chill... so now we are up for a good week's marathon of cover folding and assembling. Nice!

16.08.08 Manhattan Skyline on Fysisk Format!

There was one concert that really mattered on Øya this year: Manhattan Skyline's impossibly intense revenge-of-the-underdogs show at Camp Indie! They had the smallest PA, no soundcheck and no promotion, still the tent was packed and the gig is already legendary. Check out the reviews (in english) on No Music and (in norwegian) on Musikknyheter! There was just no question about it - we had to ask them if they wanted to release their long awaited debut album on Fysisk Format. The release is scheduled for Oktober 27th.
